Artists Statement

Combining fine art materials and processes with consumer-ephemera, I construct narratives that are both otherworldly and familiar – suggesting there is beauty in the absurd irrationality of the universe.

Using art as a channel, for connection and critical thought, my multidisciplinary practice is a tool for parsing out the formation of culture and identity via social pressures, such as: what we purchase, what we consume, and what we digest — whether they be material goods or ideas.  Through the creation of art experiences and objects, my practice carves out both conceptual and physical space for quiet contemplation.
